FORMER royal Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle didn't attend Monday's Met Gala, despite being Anna Wintour's "dream guest".
The lifestyle blogger – turned jam maker – was nowhere to be seen at fashion's biggest night held in New York City earlier this week.
It was thought Harry and Meghan would make a surprise appearance, given their new life in the US, away from the British Royal Family.

They stepped back from official duties in 2019, turning to life in the spotlight, hiring a Hollywood agent and filming shows for Netflix.
So, what does every wannabe celebrity need to do to make the headlines? Attend the annual bash at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Even organiser Anna wanted her there, expressing in 2019 that she wanted Meghan to arrive alongside Harry's brother's wife, Kate Middleton.

The Princess of Wales then had the Duchess of Cambridge title and remained good friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"I would love to have the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge together," Anna told the Today programme at the time.
But a lot has happened since then, including the demise of Meghan and Harry's relationship with Prince William and Kate.
"That would be my dream couple, they could leave their husbands at home. It's the two of them I want," Anna added – snubbing Harry.
